Graduation Project
Instructor: Mr. Toby Bunton & Mr. Robert Blinkhorn   

The Mount Airy High School Graduation Project is based on the North Carolina Graduation Project which is a multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary performance assessment which culminates during a student's senior year.  Through the Graduation Project process, students will engage various, specific skills that include:  computer knowledge, employability skills, information-retrieval skills, language skills-reading, language skills-writing, teamwork, and thinking/problem-solving skills.  Student engagement in the Graduation Project process and its completion demonstrates the integration of knowledge, skills, and performance.  The School Improvement Team determined that this worthwhile experience would begin with the Class of 2008.  Currently, in it is fourth year of implementation, the Graduation Project Committee along with the Faculty and Staff of Mount Airy High School have determined that this has and will be an excellent experience for the graduates of Mount Airy High School.
